Bacon Butties

She walks down the road at a hundred miles an hour.
I stood there and watched her fat arse wiggle in the wind.
We had argued through the night.
It had been the biggest worstest fight we'd ever have.

She said I said, I said that she said
And she thought that I though, I thought she though
If she knows that I know, I know that she knows
But she thinks that I think that we are going down.
One, Two, Three, Four

And so we argued through the night
but I just couldn't give a shite.
That brought a tear to her eye
and I never realised
I never meant to make her cry.

We tried to work it out through several cups of coffee
but we still separated in the morning.
Now I am glad that she is gone
I never liked her bacon butties.

She wanted the TV, I wanted the couch
so we settled on the stereo but it was fucking mine
and I threw her out the window with a stone tied to her leg
and the next time that I met her she was fucking dead.
One, Two, Three, Four

And so we argued through the night
but I just couldnt give a shite.
And am I mad or am I dreaming
But aren't you always bloody screaming
That brought a tear to her eye
and I never realised
I never meant to make her cry.

Peace Talks In A Café

All I ever wanted
I said all I ever wanted was for you to
come a little closer,
come a little closer to my heart.
I'm sick and tired of following you,
sick and tired of following you.
Sick and tired of being the man
you stand right up and drag right down.
She was the last to leave the motorcar
she walked so tall and straight.
We held peace talks in a cafe
but before I could open my mouth she stood up and stroled away.

I said all I ever wanted,
I said all I ever wanted was for you to
come a little closer,
come a little closer to my heart.
I'm sick and tired of following you,
sick and tired of following you.
Sick and tired of being the man
you stand right up and drag right down.
So I guess you could say this is the end of this beautiful story of ours.
I am flying down the apple avenue, my face is in the stars
but soon I will be gone.
My fingers sink down into the sand, but you are all I ever wanted.

I said all I ever wanted was for you to
come a little closer,
come a little closer to my heart.
I'm sick and tired of following you
sick and tired of following you.
Sick and tired of being the man
you stand right up and drag right down.
We held peace talks in a cafe.
We held peace talks in a cafe.
But before I could open my mouth she stood up and stroled away, and stroled away.

Billy And The Dragon

Picked him up at the corner shop, he was looking shabby so we dressed him up real fine.
Dropped him of at the cave mouth, he was gonna fight the dragon, gonna be a mighty, mighty, mighty battle.
Local people came from miles around to hear the fight and the dragon was down.
Billy cut the head off the dragon, brought it back and left it on the city wall.

But Billy, Billy, Billy, Billy, Billy,
Billy has killed the dragon.

The King came along said Billy you have saved my people from fire and death and danger.
For your reward you can marry my daughter the Princess then come and live in my castle.
Now the Princess was pretty and the castle was big but Billy had no desire to be a prince
So he sat on his donkey and he rode of out into the 12th Centuary sunset.

But Billy, Billy, Billy, Billy, Billy,
Billy has killed the dragon.
Yeah Billy, Billy, Billy, Billy, Billy,
Billy has killed the dragon.

He was always remembered as the man who had killed the terrable fire breathing dragon.

Song On The Back Of An Envelope

Sweet river
flowing down to the sea.
Sweet sky
pour your rain on me.
Sweet lady
rest your eyes on me.
And happily
I'll die happily.

I won't look back, won't look back, won't look back, won't look back, I won't.
And I won't try, I won't try, I won't try, I won't try, I won't.
Just love me.
Just love me.
Just love me.

Wake Me In The Morning

Wake me in the morning
Wake me in the morning
Touch my face and hold my hand and say whatever you say
But I don't think I'll be coming home today.

Well it's just kind of strange now, it's just kind of strange
The way you look straight at me and you turn right away
I don't think I'll be coming home today, today, today, today
I don't think I'll be coming home today.

You put another smile on, put another smile on
Look me in my eye and say Hey, I love you
But I don't think I'll be coming home today.
You told me that you needed me, you told me that you needed me
You took me in your arms and then you threw me right away
I don't think I'll be seeing you today, today, today, today,
Today, today, today.

So you wake me in the morning
Wake me in the morning
Touch my face and hold my hand and say whatever you say
But I don't think I'll be coming home today.

Your Face Is Dripping

I am not so good today.
So you hit me with your silly little antidotes.
In the mean time
the table smiles in the corner surrounded by six chairs.
You said this is a media show
but I dont care, and I don't know.
My feet are frozen and wet from the bus stop.
I am falling down.
I am falling, I am falling down.

You say walk straight
but my shoulders droop down to the floor.
You hold my hands
Drag me, the little bastard, behind.
I sure would try to interest you
Your dragon waist twists me (?)
I sure would try but I complement you but
I am falling down.
I am falling, I am falling down.

I can't see your legs.
Your head blocks out the rest of you.
Your nose is glued on to your shoes.
Your face is dripping in my food.
I sure would try to interest you
Your dragon waist twists me (?)
I sure would try but I complement you but
I am falling down.
I am falling, I am falling, I am falling down.
I am falling down.
I am falling, I am falling, I am falling down.

Stunner

And I realize it seems like I don't really mean
what I say to you but I know it's true.
So stop, breathe deep, take a little look in the mirror and say
I'm tough, not a runner, I'm a first rate fuckin stunner.

And don't you just love the day when things start going my way.
You said hello, good morning, what a beautiful beautiful day.
I said stay, stay, don't ever go away
Because you're tough, not a runner, you're a first rate fuckin stunner.
You're tough, not a runner, you're a first rate fuckin stunner.

And if you only knew how I felt when you come round for tea
in your dress and your hat looking pretty just for me
You know that we'd dance to Elvis round and round and round
You know you're tough, not a runner, you're a first rate fuckin stunner.
You're tough, not a runner, you're a first rate fuckin stunner.

You've been saying the same thing every bloody time.
You've been saying it now for years and years and years
and I guess that's why I'm twisted up inside.
And this could go on, on, forever and ever and ever.
You're tough, not a runner, you're a first rate fuckin stunner.
You're tough, not a runner, you're a first rate fuckin stunner.

Palisade

This strange day I sit down.
This long day I been here for hours.
I care for you, I care for you.
I feel for you, I feel for you.

We were slipping and sliding down along the Palisade.
She was up front and I was about ten paces behind.
I shuffeled up and tapped her on the shoulder.
I said I remember you I served you vodka and orange last night.
She said aren't you the bar man from downstairs in the Bay Hotel?
I said, I said
I care for you, I care for you I do, I do
You know that I feel for you, I feel for you.

I guess you could say it was like something out of the movies.
We sat down on the beach and spoke for hours.
Her name was Marie, she worked up in the university cantine.
She was twenty three, I was nineteen, I still couldn't grow a beard.
But we seemed to be getting on OK so we went for coffee and ice cream.
I said, I said
I care for you, I care for you I do, don't you know that
I feel for you, I feel for you.

So when I got back my friends said where have you been.
I said I have been drifting down through the cobble stone stream in my own little dream.
I guess they would not believe me maybe it was not true
But, this strange day I feel for you, I do, I do, I do.
I care for you, I care for you, Yeah.
I feel for you, I feel for you.
I care for you, I care for you.
I feel for you, I feel for you.

Blue Dog

You know I always thought you were fucking supercool
You and your blue dog.

You know I always wonder why you're so fucking beautiful
You and your blue dog.
