Inaudible Games not only does games, but we also do PCs and Networks. In fact, my primary training is in Computer Science, and my main hobby and experience is in home desktop buidling, troubleshooting and repairs. I specialise in getting all technology working optimally and generally won’t stop until I suceed. Please see the About page for more info on my background.

iG can, and wants to, help you with your home computer and networking needs, can provide these at minimal cost (very minimal, hey I’m doing it more for the fun here, for now…), and won’t charge you at all if I can’t help.

Home PC Services

iG can provide localised services for home computers in the York and Leeds area, either in your own home or you can drop desktops or laptops off at my home in Huntington, York. Main services include:

  • Upgrades and replacements of all components, including hard drives, memory, processors and more.
  • Virus & spyware removeal.
  • Software & OS installation.
  • Data backup.
  • General system optimisation and tweaking.
  • General problem solving for all issues, however big or small.

 

Home PC Advice & Builds

If you’re just looking for PC related advice, iG will happily provide you with some, or at least point you in the right direction.

I also spec and build home desktop systems, and can do this for you for only a small charge on top of all component costs. I specialise in finding the best performing parts for any given price, set systems up to operate optimally for your needs and will work with you to customise a system that best suits you both functionally and price wise.
 

Home Network Services

iG can setup, install, troubleshoot and repair home networks, including wired, wireless, ADSL, Cable and dial-up types. As with PCs I specialise in getting things working optimally for your needs.

I have extensive knowledge of BT and O2 branded routers (inc HomeHub), Thomson and Linksys routers, along with FON wireless hotspots, along with five years networking educationt to degree level and should be able to fix most common problems in all wired and WiFi systems along with advising you on suitable system and security setups.

I also have experience with VoIP, SIP and basic telecoms setups, but just don’t ask me to fix your mobile ok? For some reason it’s the one piece of technology I’ve never owned, and even watching me trying to text someone can be a source of huge amusment (not for myself like, damn predictive newfangled nonsense, why does it never predict the right thing?!? :( ).
 

Video Gaming Services

No, you gamers haven’t been left out! Currently there’s only a limited service for you though, as I don’t yet have the ability to do full console repairs. The odd broken wire, maybe, but otherwise…

  • Xbox, PS2, DVD and PC disc repair: For only £1 I’ll spend as long as possible trying to get your game to work, and won’t charge if I can’t fix it. I use manual methods which take a little longer than the machines in high street gaming stores, but hey, it’s half the price! And I can let you know exactly what parts of the disc and game have problems, and what doesn’t.
  • Xbox & PS2 Media Center installs: If you can’t do it yourself, I can do it for you, for free, either at your house or at mine. Just promise me you’ll only use it to watch DVDs, ok? :)
